- The National Home Energy Rating (NHER) Scheme
provides an accurate and independent measurement of the energy
efficiency of homes.
- It is widely used in the housing industry by
builders, local authorities, housing associations, mortgage lenders,
fuel utilities, architects, energy consultants and installers of
energy efficiency products.
- NHER software assesses housing on a scale of
0-10, where 10 is a very energy efficient home. The Scheme provides
a wide range of energy rating services, including mass monitoring
for the Home Energy Conservation Act, low energy design, and energy
ratings for individual homes.
- NHER assessors are trained and approved to
deliver the Government`s Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) ratings
required under Building Regulations.
- A range of NHER software aids energy efficient
building design, calculates energy running costs and details costs
and savings of identified refurbishment measures.
- The NHER provides information on energy rating
and a list of registered local assessors.
